Aurora yesterday 16.11.2015, taken next to our house, that's why the snow glows pink: it's the streetlight reflecting back. In the middle the always flegmatic reindeer, that with his fellows almost gave me a heartattac when they suddenly appeared behind me in a pack of five or six climbing up the mountain. They are rather white in the wintertime like one other animal up here, but of course they are not afraid of noises so they are more likely to be seen in town. But those two seconds tho until my eyes and my brain could make out what they were.... uuh.

It was a mild winterday yesterday, finally some minus degrees. But for auroras it has been crazy. We even saw them in the morning while going to work. The sun has been very active these past weeks, so that even with clouds and warm weather we have been seeing them a lot. It is unusual actually.

Have a sweet and calm week. I'll light a candle today aswell.

Bisous.

Påfjellet 9.nov. 2015 But the weather has been dårlig/bad: it's +degrees, roads are icy as hell and clouds keep us even more in the dark that we would be now usually. This low pressure is making me feel low too! Stop the global warming already!

Another total Grinch is the ... or was..  Estonian Air, airtravel company that from friday announced bankruptcy and there went our holiday flight-tickets to home. We'll probably get the money back freaking next year, but when we buy new ones, we'll have a nice big hole in our wallet for christmas. Oeh. But we're not the onlyones, so be strong, figure things out, keep it positive!

On an other note: we went to the theatre today! I know. Since living in Longyearbyen has made me think that norwegians either hate theatre or they just don't know what it is, it was a wonderful surprise. We went all together to this childrens play of 45 minutes and im so proud of how the boys enjoyed and endured; the darkness, the loud voices are quite scary. Remembering my own attempt as a child going to a play; Redridinghood, was it? I screamed so hard when the wolf appeared (like in 5 minutes after it started) and ran towards the door. End of story.

Oh my! tomorrow is thurday already!
Bisous!

Well...
That's worth the wait, isn't it? ;)
Taken 9.11.2015 around 10pm behind our house. Thanks to Asuza who taught me how. I still need a lot of work in my timing and camera setting (and tripod handeling), but it's much better than this one, from last december:

Or the one i took before i fixed my settings (i know- i know, how is that possible?)

Sweet dreams!
The Weekend was mad: i was sick, Martin had to work, the weather sucked. So still coming out of it, takes a little while, tho. ( I know, i'll name half of Wednesday to Monday and the other half to Tuesday and count sleepingtime the new Wednesday) I. Should. Sleep. Now. !?

Bisous! :)

When and why did i edit this photo to become so color-mad? But as i wanted it to be quick, just picked out one random photo from August, 2015. We went on a short hike with Martin and my mom near the Longyear glacier. We never got to it directly because the snowmelting-river was just a bit too risky to cross. After that time spent outside i feel that hikes make people into better people. And i really want to send many-many youtube account holders to hikes, because the comments of some people.... No need to explain, right?

Wednesday! Ohh, where does the time go? Like whos's eating it away? Or is there a huge vacuumcleaner that's sucking it away? Like in this moomin short film. Strangely enough this is our boys favourite moomin cartoon (but in swedish/norwegian language, still in poem form). We saw it on a dvd of best short animations from that time(1993).

Bisous!

Ease into the monday, by keeping that extra candy in your pocket or taking today that really nice lunchbox, or that sweet moka coffee. Enjoy!
Mondays can be sweet ;)

Photo from July 2015. Summertime. The heatwave in Europe brought up some heavy fog. Flights were canceled and guiding was...well... interesting: "And now, when you look to your right, there you see a... well you don't see it, but it's there, belive me." :)
It's been a long, long day. And i need to plan another one ;)
Bisous!

Photo taken  25th march 2015. What a view...!
I did scedule my posts for the weekend and instead of adding something to the old one, i just scedule another one for Monday. Im smiling, thinking of how tomorrow morning me and the boys just gonna stay home. Mihkel had a little cold during saturday, so we let the body rest a bit more and a monday without the hurrying.... this could be actually nice. Fingers crossed!
The clocks were turned again; goodbye summertime and hello wintertime and hello kids waking up at 5 am. Yes. Hello.
I hope this new week is going to be a really good one!
Last week felt like i did a leap. Being inspired and thinking things over, probably thinking thinks too much, but even that realization is worth some credit.
Trust yourself!
Bises!

Photo from February 2015. There is another Ted talk i've been quite exited about: how to learn anything (in 20 hours). And i so liked his homepage status (http://joshkaufman.net/contact/ ), as he seems to really cherish his family.

I already know what i want to do these 20 hours!

Monday-monday, come fast!

Photo from february 2014. I keep on going with my random photo game for now, since the camera is still traveling the world, but it will be back soon, and hopefully i can continue with my photography challange. Why? Im not quite sure. I guess im looking for something right now and things like that make you focused.

There is a conversation i remember with my friend Mike about paths and the feeling of success. Should we do something where we have the constant little feeling of success or should we be on a road where it is unlikely to attain this feeling of accomplishment probably for a long time? Could one handle that? The road with roses seems like a better choice. And then again, i think Mike is doing now something completly different, as following that dream. So what happened? :)

I was looking for a Ted talk i was reccomended to, but found this one instead. Just the title itself is making me smile: happy maps. And altho this is about actual maps and routes in cities, it could be applied to life as well.

My september is almost over, i can feel the blues going away. It's time to do, what i need to do and the rest will just fall in place. But before that my home has to return to me ^^
Waiting for monday ;)

As my camera is travelling to meet someone nice who's going to clean it up, am i really just posting what i can find. I still tryed to edit the dust out friday, but it became just to timeconsuming and nerverecking; here's a break from the 30day photography challange but trying to post a picture a day, since that's what i originally planned.

For an awesome monday!

Day2
Photo taken on the 9th oktober, 2015
I was going for the rule of thirds, but it's slightly off. Nevertheless. Stunning.
Just imagine if i were a real photographer with a reeeeally good camera and awesome skills... just imagine :)
Todays plan: concuring norwegian language
“How did it feel to fail 1,000 times?”
Thomas Edison: “I didn’t fail 1,000 times. The light bulb was an invention with 1,000 steps.”

Have a good day! Lets do some steps!
